Melanie’s music appears in piano anthologies, music examination board syllabuses, piano festival syllabuses, as well as piano journals and magazines. She is commissioned by Pianist Magazine to write an elementary composition in every issue. Her music and writing frequently appear in Pianist Magazine’s many supplementary publications.

Melanie has written a regular ‘How-To-Play’ article for Pianist Magazine for over ten years, contributing over 70 editorials. Pianist is the most widely read piano magazine in the world. It includes over forty pages of free sheet music in every issue. There are also extensive tutorials, interviews, and a variety of piano-based articles.

This magazine column focuses on highlighting elementary piano music. The article has introduced readers to a fascinating and eclectic selection of composers who write for this genre. Melanie also writes an elementary piano composition for every issue and contributes a regular ‘5 Tips’ blog post for Pianist’s online content. Additionally, she is proof-reader for the magazine.
