Melanie has contributed to a wide range of music education and piano publications. These include preparation, practice, and performance notes for music examination boards, as well as encompassing articles and quotations in piano text books.

She has written a regular ‘How-To-Play’ article for Pianist Magazine for twelve years, contributing over 70 articles. Pianist is the most widely read piano magazine in the world.
