On a completely different note, for those interested in sight-reading and sight-reading tutorials, I can highly recommend American pianist and writer Erica Sipes’ excellent ‘live’ streamed show, Sight-reading Maverick. Every Sunday afternoon (5pm British time), Erica sight-reads through a pre-selected group of pieces, offering useful tips and sight-reading guidance. She enjoys showcasing new repertoire, and yesterday’s show featured one of my pieces, Frenzy (from Simply Driven: Schott), and those interested can view the whole show, which lasts an hour, here:
