A Bank Holiday Competition!

Butterflies-Front-Cover

Butterflies, a new piano piece written by composer and pianist, Marcel Zidani, is already proving very popular with pianists. A beautiful piece, with lots of florid passage work, delicate filigree and an attractive melody, it will suit players of around Grade 8/DipABRSM level or advanced standard.  Great for anyone wanting a change from the exam repertoire, or perhaps preparing a recital programme and wishing to include a new Romantic style Contemporary piece.

Elena Cobb, who publishes Marcel’s music, is giving away a download of Butterflies, and to win all you need to do is leave a comment in the comment box at the end of this post. Elena will pick a winner on Monday May 4th in the evening (British time). Here is a performance of the piece played by the composer:

  1. This is the second time you have written about this lovely piece; it definitely merits the publicity for next year’s spring recital season or academy’s étude. Beautiful and light!

  2. Not sure my comment went through.
Its truly lovely. Floaty and shimmering just like its namesake, and I we would love to teach it and play it myself.
